Review on Flood FLD6 Floetrol Latex Paint Additive - 1 Gallon, Pack of 1 by Arnold Carrigan

I didn't dare try it but I'm glad I did. I used this with Behr Premium Latex to paint our dated double sink oak vanity. I used a 4:1 ratio. I was scared at first because I thought the color looked weird, but patience, patience - it convinced me otherwise! The paint dried to the paint exactly as expected. The strokes were so small that there were almost none; and the wood texture pattern turned out great. On my next project, I also painted the kitchen island with Floetrol (Muted Sage, Behr Premium Plus). This time I decided to spray. I ordered a cheap TCP atomizer here from Revain with a 2.5mm tip. For this I diluted the color mixture 4:2:2 (color: Floetrol: distilled water), I have to say that I was not satisfied with the spray pattern; Despite the settings, the paint was applied too thickly and I would definitely have to brush to get almost the desired result. I paint cars from the side so I know how to use a spray gun. I decided the 2.5mm tip was too big for the texture I was looking for; So I switched to one of my other pistols with a 1.3mm tip. Spray paint is as smooth as silk! The cabinets now look brand new and we used less than 1/4 gallon to spray the entire kitchen island! I will continue to use Floetrol. In my opinion this is a good thing and I recommend using it.
