I needed the smallest active USB hub I could find. My goal was to connect an RTL-SDR device to a Raspberry Pi-like computer. I couldn't run a current directly through the computer. I also needed it to fit in a larger case. The physical design of this hub is great. 5 stars for size and layout. However, with *any* USB device I connect via the included DC power supply (and other more reliable sources later), the voltage drops below 4 volts very quickly. Some devices can survive this as my devices fail or drop below 4 volts. Instead, I got a "Zero4U" hub from Adafruit, which was much more reliable and even more compact.
