My cat Samantha loves to ruin collars. She doesn't go crazy when I put them on and she's worn them all her life, but in the end every collar dies the same way - she scratches it until it looks like a ball of fluff around her neck. Seeing this one, which has both metal parts and leather, I thought it might be safe for Samantha. I've been wearing it for 3 months now and it still looks brand new! I didn't see her even try to scratch it and it looked cute on her. Also, she is a very small cat and fits her small neck perfectly (although I cropped the extra length). I'm sure it will fit my larger cats as well as it has a good adjustment mechanism. And it's safe for cats as it has an elastic part that allows it to slide down if it gets caught on something. I'm happy with my purchase and she seems to be too!
