This tool is a must. I bought this specifically for my ls engine after researching coolant changes and realizing that air locks can be a common occurrence. Not wanting to risk overheating, I decided to give it a try. Very easy to connect, pulls all the air out of the system in less than a minute using a small homemade air compressor. Worst case you can always close the valve and run the compressor before creating more vacuum if your compressor is really small. then a pipe and it fills the system on both sides of the thermostat in less than a minute. Once the gauge reads zero, remove the gauge heat from the overflow, replace the cap, and you're done. There is no air in the system. This tool is worth the cost for the time saved alone, not to mention the avoidance of mess and the risk of air locks on your thermostat which can lead to overheating and possible engine damage. The tool is very well made with brass ball valves and a good pressure gauge. If you read these reviews, just buy it.
