Review on Milescraft 1405 Crown45 Crown Molding by John Langdon

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good tool but not perfect, some skill required

Let's get this review straight - I love this tool. It's not ideal. What I like is that you cut the crown in the same orientation as it is hanging on the wall. This results in newbies like me having fewer cuts in the wrong direction. The second feature is that for guiding the blade on the tool you also have the advantage that your hands are not in the way. What I don't like is that it's cheaply made and the plastic part holding the degree setting can slip off, so be careful before cutting. You will also need to check each time that the underside of the piece to be cut is flush with the underside of the saw and that you are pressing it firmly against the back rail. If you're not careful, you can slide the tool under the moderation part of the crown. It's not too hard, but you also need to know what you're doing without the tool in order to take advantage of the tool. I'm sure I saved a lot of rework from the wrong direction cuts from the 1000 foot crown I'm about to finish. I would buy again.

Cons
