Description of Milescraft 1405 Crown45 Crown Molding

Compact design works with most miter saws. Makes right-side-up cutting of 2′′ to 5-1/2′′ Crown molding. Supports Crown molding between 2′′ to 5-1/2′′. Adjustable angle setting with angle finders for creating common molding spring angles (38°, 45° and 52°). Saw blade enters the material from the front. No compound cuts necessary.

Perfect results learned very quickly

Background: I use a 12" miter saw, partly to cut battens. can vary from 39 to 45 to 52 (?). I assumed it was always 45 degrees I ran into a project where this is not the case, this led me to trying to set my saw to 39,x degrees in combination with w, something else while making the upside down and back cuts face first, same orientation as last breath can't overstate the time savings, not to mention the material savings from not making "bad" cuts requires cuts upside down and in reverse order…

Before attempting to use the template, I watched videos on the internet many times to familiarize myself with the cuts I wanted to make. Good tool but not perfect, some skill required

Let's get this review straight - I love this tool. It's not ideal. What I like is that you cut the crown in the same orientation as it is hanging on the wall. This results in newbies like me having fewer cuts in the wrong direction. The second feature is that for guiding the blade on the tool you also have the advantage that your hands are not in the way. What I don't like is that it's cheaply made and the plastic part holding the degree setting can slip off, so be careful before cutting. You…
