Review on ๐Ÿ”ฎ Redken Color Extend Blondage Purple Shampoo: Effective Hair Toner for Color-Treated Blondes, Neutralizes Brassy Tones, with Citric Acid. by Mandy Rivera

Revainrating 1 out of 5

I washed my hair color!

A week ago I added highlights which I dyed to a lovely buttery caramel ash blonde to negate the copper. Ideal! I couldn't find my tonic mousse (Igora 8.1) or my purple shampoo (Pureology Purple). So I threw the bones away and bought this stuff: Holymutha.I.AM.SO.TICKED!High sulfate shampoo because it washed out ALL the permanent color on my highlights in ONE wash.My beautiful color, goodbye! I was left with a boldness I had never seen before! I'll have to spend hours trimming and repainting the faded highlights to get them back to normal or I'll hunt down the dragon with toners/purple shampoo to try and get rid of that brassiness. Maybe if you don't have a lot of color and you have ultra-light blondes, silver, platinum, etc. it will work. I called my local beauty shop and they said never buy professional products unless in a salon. So I'm not sure if this brand is non-authentic or just fancy. I love Redken and wonder if that's true because no purple shampoo has ever robbed me of that color. I also noticed that the conditioner was barely pigmented, useless! I didn't bother using the mask as it was already open! I will order at the salon and use the Pureology purple shampoo.

Pros
  • Outstanding overall performance
Cons
  • No color required
