I bought this to store my 4k Blu-ray 1080p Blu-ray and DVD. I bought this expecting to need one on top and one on the bottom but only bought one at first. Pros: - It looks good. - It saves space compared to a bookshelf. - Manufacturer's customer service responded within 16 hours and sent a replacement for the damaged base I pictured. I wrote a letter late at night and they replied early the next morning. I received the replacement part within 9 calendar days. It's been a long time, but it was shipped from British Columbia, Canada to Florida, USA. Cons: - It doesn't store as many movies as it could. Each door has openings so you can adjust the shelves to the height you want. However, there are a few tiers on the doors that you can't place shelves on due to the cams used to hold the pieces together. Unfortunately, these locations would be ideal for Blu-ray movies. So I can't have movies on the bottom door shelves. If I could move an adjustable shelf up one tier, the lower shelves could be used. This means there are two shelves that cannot be used until I put the films on them. Each door has a locking mechanism that interferes with storage. The left door has a lever inside (when closed) that you need to push up to lock and pull down to open. I had to leave an area on the shelf so I could close the door and reach for this locking mechanism. The pre-drilled hole doesn't line up so it's harder to use than it should be so I won't be using it. The right door has a lock that requires a key. The lock protrudes through the back of the film cabinet, so I can't store that many films on this shelf. - It took a while to assemble. Normally I wouldn't have minded that much, but realizing the previous issues, it did. All parts were covered with debris. Because of this, I made a real mess when I assembled it. It would be nice if they used compressed air to get rid of debris. - I just bought a spare to see how I like it and then I buy a second one if I like it. Because of the cons, I'm considering buying a second one. The lack of shelf design is disappointing, and the locking mechanisms are not well thought out. I think I would have preferred the latch on the outside if it matched the design. It doesn't look like the lock will prevent anyone from getting inside. Even a kid could probably hack this if they really wanted to. I can look elsewhere to see if I can find something better. If it weren't for the flaws in the shelves and locks I would have given this place 5 stars.
