Very well received by the children, varied, inspiring, as a good advent calendar should be. On a given day, you will receive either a Hatchimal NOT in an egg (9 days), a nest (5 days), or a kit with buildable decorations and stickers to decorate (5 days), or tiny character accessories to carry or store ( 5 days), and on the 24th day you will receive a special Winter Egg with a special Hatchimal inside. There is no 25th day, so it ends on Christmas Eve if you open on a December day. The sequencing is well done, it rotates between different types of things so you don't go too many days in a row without getting a new Hatchimal character. The two red and green foxes are different from the other Hatchimals; They appear to be cheaper plastic and have a bobble-head look (kind of a fun surprise). Each nest gets a bow (sometimes on a different day) but the kids were disappointed on the days they got nests (I guess nests aren't that much fun). The crafts were cute and fun to decorate, but once assembled they fell apart immediately. Impossible to play with them (need glue to hold them together). The special egg on the final day provided the anticipation needed to complete the set. The item we received was safe and sound. Conclusion: Although there could be improvements over the next year, I still recommend this set. Just remember what you are paying for, you can see the items clearly or just watch the unboxing video before you buy.
