Review on Black Apple Barrel Acrylic Paint - Assorted Colors (16 Ounce), 21148 by Linda Diaz

I ordered this because I was in the middle of a project and I ran out of the black color. I always run out of black color first. So. I took the larger size. 16 fl oz. :) Came sealed. No leaks, no damage. It's a solid black, so it doesn't shine when it dries. A few other reviewers mentioned that it was pitch black, so I was nervous at first because I'm technically changing the color in the middle of a project. The black color I used was #20504 Black. The one I ordered was #21148 Black. One might think that shouldn't matter, but these numbers can mean big differences in color or midtones. I tried to paint them side by side. And looked under different kinds of light. . no noticeable difference. Brilliant! The color I received is not bluish black at all. It's warm black. It has warm undertones. I prefer warm black. Unless my project calls for cool black. I like the wide neck because you can just dip your brushes in while you work. When I want to fill a small black paint bottle (more portable) I make a paper funnel to fill it. This is craft paint. So it's not the same consistency as paint in tubes. Paint in tubes is much thicker. If you press a fat gob on the tray, it stays a fat gob. mostly keep their shape. Craft paint is thinner. If you pour craft paint onto a palette, it will run and level. Its consistency is more reminiscent of shampoo or house paint. I love it and will order again when it runs out.
