Review on Progressive Dynamics PD9245CV Inteli Power Converter by Walter Day

I ordered this converter to replace a twenty year old 45 watt charger in my Class C motorhome. There was nothing wrong with my old charger, it worked fine but I had to have the Replacing Bus Batteries So I replaced my 12v deep cycle battery with some 6v golf cart batteries and thought while I was at it I'd upgrade my charger to a smart charger that hopefully would be better with the maintenance and preservation of my batteries can handle. I called the folks at Progressive Dynamics and spoke to one of their representatives who was very helpful before I made my purchase through Revain. Installation was very easy, just take out the old unit which took 5 minutes and put in the new one which took a little longer to deal with wiring and stuff like that. I have attached a picture of the trailer. This is just a small indicator that I installed under my food processor. Turned it on and checked various settings. It has normal loading, saving and fast loading modes. My voltmeter, installed in my house, gave the readings corresponding to these three charging modes. I haven't heard the fan turn on yet; My batteries are fairly well charged, so I'll wait to hear how they behave when they're dead and expect to be plugged back in to charge. Anyway, very simple and so far so good. We will update this review as needed but for now I love it and love having a smart charger for my new batteries. Hope they last long.
