It was easy to replace my 35A WFCO converter.

It was easy to replace my 35A WFCO converter, I decided to upgrade to 45A. The light came on brightly immediately after plugging it in. The battery charged quickly. It took me no more than 5 minutes to install. Just make sure you have a set of allen wrenches to loosen the screws holding the wires in place.

Exact replacement for my camper converter

My AC/DC converter failed and this unit was an exact replacement. Fits perfectly and installs in minutes. This device converts the AC power supplied from outside the RV to DC power for lighting and battery charging inside the RV. Works perfectly. There's also a nice little control switch that plugs in to manually change the converter if needed for testing, but this unit is hands-free and does what it needs to do without intervention.

  • Everything great!

Much, much better than the OEM charger/converter

I had some issues with light flickering with the original converter and had doubts about the battery charging capability or the OEM. After reading the reviews on the Revain and RV forums I decided this was the right choice ---- the reviews were spot on! This unit is quieter (since I can't even hear it), no more flickering lights, and keeps my two batteries alive on a single charge. perfect charge. I kept the OEM converter so if I trade campers in the future I will take this and keep it for…

Works great to keep battery charged without charging

Manufactured interior and exterior lighting in an enclosed trailer used to transport a vintage Camaro to street races. All 12v hard leds used.Uses PD9245CV to keep batteries charged when trailer was parked at home or connected to generator at races. Works great to keep the battery charged without overcharging. Hard LEDs draw so little current that even with 3 days of parking at an event I didn't have to use a generator. I am currently planning a similar 12 volt lighting setup for my shop and…

Best Value Tools and Gear

Bought as a direct replacement for an identical unit that was struck by lightning. A camper shop doubled the price and replacing a repaired vehicle directly with Progressive Dynamics was $100 plus shipping (no technician) and shipping back the old unit. The original unit was working properly prior to the lightning strike, running 24 hours a day, 8 months a year, at over 80% load for three years. Given the load, I would increase the power, but two months ago I reduced the load by more than 70%…

I installed this and found the smart charging features very useful

I installed this and found the smart charging features very useful. I replaced an older model PD-9040 in my trailer which instructed the user not to leave this converter on all the time. The old model could boil the battery if left on after the battery was fully charged. This PD-9245 reduces power to trickle charge once the battery/batteries are fully charged. This allows me to keep the power on all the time and not worry about charging the batteries. I wish the traveling cord was longer or had

Excellent converter, maintains accurate voltage

Works well and exactly as advertised. After two days, the voltage stabilized at about 13.35 volts. The pendant is in the box but the cord is short. I installed a battery switch next to the converter so when I installed it. There was no spark as the power to the converter was cut off until I turned on the battery switch. That only added about $15 to the price and cheap insurance to shut down the high power amplifier in the event of an accident etc. A Progressive Dynamics PD9245CV is installed in

Good backup but not as a main charger

Bought as a backup charger for 400Ah batteries from a solar array during long cloudy periods. high enough to complete the charge for lead-acid batteries - Trojan recommends 14.8V, for example. In fact, the charger lowers the voltage towards the end of the charge cycle when it should be raising it. should be 15.5 volts, not 14.4 volts as this unit puts out when "leveling" ) - gauge) Connected to a battery that requires a 150Ah charge, this unit only supplies about 30 amps to the Bogart…

Good upgrade for smart charger

I ordered this converter to replace a twenty year old 45 watt charger in my Class C motorhome. There was nothing wrong with my old charger, it worked fine but I had to have the Replacing Bus Batteries So I replaced my 12v deep cycle battery with some 6v golf cart batteries and thought while I was at it I'd upgrade my charger to a smart charger that hopefully would be better with the maintenance and preservation of my batteries can handle. I called the folks at Progressive Dynamics and spoke to…
