Review on HILLMAN FASTENER 385710 Wood Screw by John Roberts

I'm looking for 1" and 1/2" brass pan head wood screws. I prefer the Philips head. The size can be 8, 10 or 12 for my application. Problems with this product: (a) The screw shown in the picture is silver and the item is marked with a brass screw. So the screw pictured is not brass, which raises the question of the actual material of the screws: is it brass or steel? and (b) the product specifications do not include size or screw head information. Is it a 1 inch screw? Or is it a 3 inch screw? Or x inches long. Information on the size of the screw is also missing. Is it number 8 or number 12 right?
