Review on Brass Taprite T742HP Double Gauge Primary CO2 Regulator by Don Pintac

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Affordable keg pressure valve

Bought a Kenmore keg cooler in 1992 and used Bud Light until 1994 when I switched to Beamish Irish Stout with a nitro blend until 2004. When Beamish was no longer available, I switched to Guinness until 2009, when Franciscan Dark Wheat and Hefeweizen became available in the US. Since then I've been a fan of wheat beer. The stock pressure valve worked well but had no fine adjustment and could not control the vacuum in the tank. So when the tank was empty, there was no warning. In addition, German wheat beer required precise outlet pressure control. Not only was this valve affordable, but it worked great with wheat beer, giving accurate readings of tank pressure and head.
