This is a decent set of black Japanese brush pens in various sizes, although many of the larger brushes appear to be the same size. They flex very easily, facilitating smooth movements for those with a steady hand. (Obviously not me.) The ink looks a little transparent when wet, but then dries to a smooth, slightly opaque black. They are very juicy and require a light touch. I like to keep this set in my purse for practice; Hard plastic case or bag (both included) make them very portable. The brush tips are soft but not as brittle as some other Japanese brushes. However, I still use very smooth paper to hold the ends. Recommended for beginners and advanced.
