I bought it mainly to use the data cable from my laptop to my iPad. Seems sturdy and more than long enough for my needs, although a 3ft cord would have been enough. The laptop connectivity is great, but I ordered this along with an Anker USB-C charger and it won't connect to this flash, causing it to disconnect and reconnect when the connector is moved. I still have my Apple charger and it works fine so I will not rely on this charging cable unless this Apple cable/charger fails. I was hesitant about the USB-C cable, mainly because I wanted to find out if the port on my laptop was actually a USB-C connector or not, and once I found out, Anker was a good choice. done, at least for the cable itself. It recognized my iPad right away, whereas with a regular USB cable connection I had to battle my laptop and iTunes to recognize it, but as soon as I opened iTurnes, this one was recognized without a hitch.
