Review on πŸ”§ Enhance Control and Precision with the Robertshaw 1751 012 Valve Knob by John Hall

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Used this a long time ago

These plastic handles get brittle over time I have four gas fireplaces in my house and about 10 years ago one of the handles on the old fireplace fell apart. I figured I'd check the parts stores and get a new grip. Light. No, they said they could not sell any piece of gas regulator or control valve. Includes handle. A new gas valve is required. I contacted chimney repair companies and they said the same thing. I called the manufacturer and they said the same thing. federal regulation. I gave up before the last ice storm when we used the fireplaces to warm the house during a 3 day power outage. Luckily the fireplace in the main living room kept the entire downstairs so warm that we didn't need help from anyone else. But it got me thinking that now things have changed and China controls almost all production, maybe these pens could be available. And here they are. And they work great. And they are much cheaper and easier to install than a gas valve. Excellent work. I get extra favors because you never know when the rules will change. This time the hesitation paid off.
