When you don't need the remote control, do it. This works well as long as you don't need a remote control to get the job done. When I received it the remote control didn't work so I bought a new one. None of the buttons worked, none. So I contacted the manufacturer. A week later I had a new remote control. But that didn't work either. None of the buttons worked. So I emailed them again. This time they promised to test it before shipping. I received a second replacement (third remote) and to my surprise some of the buttons work. None of them have been mapped to the correct button they should be and all working buttons only work with output 1. It's still not possible to control output 2 with the remote. So I emailed them again, it's been 2 days and I haven't received a reply. I suppose I'll update this when we fix this issue. Or not. UPDATE 10 days after I wrote the original review I received my fourth and final remote which is finally working as intended. I'm deducting a star for the trouble. The support reacts. My experience was conducted solely via email. I had to wait a maximum of 2 days for a reply, but most of those replies came within 24 hours. This is fairly typical of email communication. The switch itself is worth it. I had it about 6 weeks. I probably saw it flicker twice. The screen flickered for a second or two and then reappeared as if it never happened. Twice in 6 weeks a 2x2 toggle with a $35 remote is something I agree with. It could also be the cheap HDMI cable I'm using. I haven't checked for compatibility issues. This switch says it supports PIP. It's not like this! I wish I had this feature and I'm a little disappointed that it wasn't included, but it does the job and I'm happy with my purchase. If I had to buy it again I would.
