Review on Efficient Powerbuilt 648619 Silver Pilot Bearing Puller: Ultimate Solution for Smooth Bearing Removal by Ryan Judy
Working from template at Special Purpose Pullers
I used a Powerbuilt 648619 to remove the pilot bearing on a 22re/W55 truck. The puller fits (a problem I had before I found a suitable puller) without modification, but I couldn't get the bearing out at first. After 30-40 minutes of manual work on the legs to get the jaw bigger and closer to 90 degrees, I was able to easily remove the pilot bearing.
