I have now bought three filaments and they work GREAT. No dead LEDs and behave exactly as advertised. I connected the 12V version and two wires to a 12V 5A power supply and connected both to the FadeCandy board. Initially I only connected to 1 position and thought the problem was with the bulbs as only the first 14 bulbs of the second string were lit. Then I realized that FadeCandy can only light 64 candles at a time in any position, and since 64-50 equals 14. After I connected the second thread's data line to a different position, everything was fine again. My Stranger Things Light Showcase is ready! The light quality is excellent. Very bright, beautiful colors, durable housing. I'm not sure if I'll get another one for Christmas or not, but if I do I'll buy these.
