Starter works and fits perfectly for 2001 maxima se 3.0. The only problem I have is where you connect the positive pole to the magnet. The housing cracked when tightening the nut. I would blame the starter as that part is plastic but my last starter also broke in the same spot so too much tension is the problem. Regardless, the starter itself works great. Update: plastic finally cracked. There is a spring on the inside of the solenoid that is preventing me from reattaching it. When I tried to weld it the spring pushed against the plastic where it broke so as long as I held it it just popped back out. So there's definitely some tension on the back of this case. I got a hook from my positive battery cable to hold it in place so it doesn't snap like I thought it would. I will leave this 5 stars because I am changing it to another. Once this is installed I will update again.
