I use these spikes when I'm dock fishing. I usually wear embossed sandals over your regular shoes or a pair of Timberlands boots (when dry). While this works fairly well, they are really bulky and heavy. When traversing mossy and uneven rocks, the extra weight doesn't help. With these boots, I wear them directly over my boots. Definitely worth it if you are tired of those heavy/bulky sandals. Be sure to rinse them off if you use them in sea water. Pros: • Light weight • Good grip/grip in wet/mossy rock • Reasonable price • Easy to put on and take off Cons: • I don't know how long they last against salt water
