Review on Stainless Radiator Flexible Coolant Universal Replacement Parts by John Kachinosky

Alright, here's what to do.

Remove and discard the shiny metal covering the rubber parts. Take the brackets, throw them away and buy better ones. Buy a good strong sealant. Apply sealant between the rubber adapters and the metal tube, and between the two rubber adapters if you use them. On the metal part, also fill the last few valleys with sealant before the rubber hose goes through. Clamp it down with better clamps and leave it for a day or two. Ready. I used this on a car with a swapped engine to create the upper and lower radiator hoses. After 2 miles on the road, all of my coolant drained out. I had to use one of the rubber adapters on my lower hose and it slipped completely out of the larger rubber piece. My top tube spattered from metal to rubber most of the time. The clamps simply aren't tightened enough before the clamp screw starts to slip. Works great after the fix I mentioned above! It would almost be better if there was only a metal hose and nothing else.
