Bought these for my daughter so we can skate together. It was important to me that she could ride both indoors and outdoors, so that was a pleasant surprise. She has used them indoors and outdoors and they are great. I was concerned about the ankle protection, but she had no complaints. She's fallen a few times but gets up with no problem. I also ordered a pair of adjustable skates from the same brand for my youngest daughter and I love them too. I love the classic look of these skates and since they are white we can retouch them if we want. The colors are very feminine and the skate design is cute. The skates are strong, soft and large enough to provide stable ankle support. The wheels are made of polyurethane so they roll safely on concrete or asphalt. We bought her blue pom-poms. All three have RD skates and I think they are phenomenal for entry level skates. I know a lot of people recommend skates over $200 but they fit me!
