Review on Universal Bicycle Handlebar Stroller Smartphone by Johnny Snyder

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The phone stayed in place even in an accident

I expected it to work as well as it did. I used it with my Samsung S8 in an Otterbox and set it up on a tow bike just before an overnight off-road trip. I did 100 miles in 2 days mostly on gravel roads and trails. When I first set the phone up, it felt pretty flimsy - I could tap the phone and it started shaking. I tested it on our very bumpy trail and pulled it off a few curbs and it seemed to hold up well, so I left it on for my tour. I had no problem browsing my phone (which I used to navigate with RideWithGPS). The real test came when I was going down a steep descent and my front wheel got stuck in deep sand. I went over the bars and the impact was big enough to twist my brake levers (that's why you don't over tighten them!) and made a big dent in my helmet. I was fully expecting to have to track down my phone, thinking there was no way an inflated rubber band could hold it during impact, and yet it was completely intact.

Pros
  • Sports and outdoor activities
Cons
  • I'll write later
