I had a hard time understanding what to expect from a chain gauge. It's ok but goes well with the chain I wanted to lengthen. I hope these photos help someone. It seemed expensive until I called several jewelers to add 1 1/2 inch chain with just an adapter ring. This extension was cheaper and allowed some customization.
