Works very well in providing a Wi-Fi signal in places where Wi-Fi was previously unavailable, but the instructions are wrong and the listing of the supplied accessory is incorrect The instructions state that when setting up WPS, the same SSID is generated with both the 2.4 and 5 extensions - this is incorrect as a new SSID is created. This wasn't a problem for me as the extension would be placed in a separate building, but the point is the instructions are wrong. While some reviewers claim that the splitter that came with it was unnamed (or that the splitter wasn't included), mine came with a Verizon-branded splitter. If you don't mind a different SSID (and of course a different password), setup is very simple. Press the two WPS buttons, remove the packaging material and once you have removed everything, the extender will be connected. Put it in a new location, plug it in and connect the coaxial cable, and you're ready to ride. I suspect the provider I provided is slightly different from the version of this extension and I'm glad which one you're getting. . The first one I got was clearly in use and not working, even though it created the same SSID as my existing network. Underneath was a nameless splinter.
