I love the look, feel and accuracy of the rulers. However, I did not know that the guides are made of plastic, this is not mentioned in the description. The reason I went with this one was because I thought all the parts were aluminum alloy. I've read descriptions of other types of devices and they all mentioned what each piece was made of. Also, one of the set screws didn't go deep enough to hold the slider in place, so I had to use one from the other item. They advertise this tool as precision, quality craftsmanship, zero tolerance, blah blah blah. I do not think so. But I've chosen to be a curmudgeon. I think I'll just deal with that.
