Surprisingly, increasing the volume with the remote also boosts the bass at the same time. Periodically, all you get is a booming sound that requires manual audio adjustment. How painful! The volume and tone controls should be independent of each other. I emailed Boytone (whose own website says they'll get back to you "as soon as possible") about this defect, but it's been over a month with no response. Not at all satisfied with this product or Boytone's customer service.
