I was getting a little nervous about how hot my rtl-sdr-blog v3 dongle was running so I started looking for heatsinks. I know that's not what this device is designed for, but it's actually not a terrible fit and definitely does dissipate heat from it. I put 2 on mine, one on each side and it feels noticeably cooler to the touch. Now the heatsink is slightly too long. If you put the side with the notch on the RF input side of the dongle and line up the flat side flush with the USB side of the dongle, you'll be able to plug in the dongle and still be able to screw on the SMA connector for the antenna. It's a little bit of a tight fit, but it works. Also, the casing of the dongle isn't flat, it's curved a little, so you don't get 100% adhesion with the thermal pad on this. But that's ok, it does have a reasonable amount of grab and the thermal pad keeps it in place.Cheap enough to give me peace of mind, I'll take it.
