The dowels that came with it are complete junk.
Too bad I looked at the anchors more than casually before measuring them and drilling holes in the walls. You are completely useless. I was trying to hang a 14" piece of 2"x6" from two brackets and they pulled the anchors out of the wall. So now I'm going to spend my weekend sanding and sanding drywall instead of enjoying my new shelves. Do yourself a favor and buy something else, or as another review mentioned, spend the extra money and buy better drywall anchors.
