The locking mechanism is dangerous. And also.

And a square tube bent at the ends to make the footprint wider on the floor looks extremely dangerous. As a metalworker, you don't bend square tubes. Period. This creates weekly points. Especially without suspenders. The foot pads are not pads at all, but made of hard plastic. Therefore, you should not use it on smooth floors. Wood, tile etc without a good thick rug underneath that doesn't stretch. Unless you have a perfectly flat surface outside, you shouldn't be using them outdoors at all, or soft mud or sand is a big no-no. If you use it indoors on flat carpeted floors, you should be on the safe side. I wouldn't recommend using the 4th step, except maybe one foot with the other foot on the third step. I don't think for a second this supports 330 pounds. I weigh 215 pounds and feel secure. Also on the fourth level. But extra weight when climbing a ladder can make it unstable. You need to go straight up and keep your weight above center. Don't lean left or right. If you can't reach it, move the ladder so you can. I couldn't figure out how to use the safety hook to prevent the ladder from collapsing. The manual, like all Chinese manuals, is useless. I feel like I paid about 50% too much. I would recommend buying one with round tubes. And a great locking mechanism. Update: I've used this ladder inside and out. It works. That's why I gave 3 stars instead of 2.
