I'm actually rounding it up to 4 stars but it's over 3.5 stars. It shares many pros and cons with another popular soy milk maker. I also have SoyaJoy, but it's a bit cheaper and has a few more features that I prefer over this one. However, this one is still usable and better than the Tayama I had. Tayama was small in terms of capacity and this MioMat has around 6 cups which is good enough. Summary: Overall, I would only recommend this if you can get it under $160. If not I would recommend a different soy milk maker and all of these machines are really just a heater and blender combo. In the past, you had to heat soy milk in a pot on the stove and then mix it yourself. This saves some time and I would suggest this for your list. Pros: + saves time heating and mixing + basically all the metal inside + decent amount of power Cons: - cleaning is a hassle because you have to wipe things, don't wash, definitely don't wash in the sink because there are electronics at the bottom - a little pricey compared to other soymilk manufacturers.
