This is a good product. Well made and easy to install. IF you are installing this on a 1999 Subaru Legacy Outback station wagon, the plug to connect is located in a small (approx. 4" x 4") door about halfway up the driver's side C-pillar. You don't need to look for it. It's taped (with blue tape in my case) to the wiring that goes to the taillights on the driver's side and looks straight at you from that door. I tore my Subaru apart on the passenger side after watching a 2000 Subaru video. Apparently they placed these connectors in a different location almost every year. So consider yourself lucky that you are wiring a '99 Legacy Outback as it is the easiest Subaru to wire. You can even stow the wiring harness in the larger access panel just below the smaller one.
