First, the plastic liner of this fuel filter is much better than generic. There are clear "windows" so you can see the filter. There are no superfluous plastic covers to remove. The inlet and outlet are much tighter than generics, and the flow direction arrow is clearly marked where generics can be difficult to tell if they even have any. It is much better when disassembling old filters and comparing the filter itself. I've seen generics disintegrate inside and scraps of paper get into the carburetor. Kohler has the best material, a lot more pleats (which means more surface area) and is said to filter up to 50 µM. Why risk a $2 or $3 loaded carb? Just buy Kohler!
