The sound was gone with the update to Win 10. That solved the problem. Processing error after 24 hours.

Update failed and stopped playing within 24 hours of installation. For those who want to comment and read the driver CD, there is a download link on the product page. for My Purposes do the main job of getting sound out of my computer. It doesn't sound fantastic with a $150 amp and $300 headphones, but it sounds good enough for regular computer use, and it at least confirmed my assumption that Windows, not my computer, was to blame. For $16 you can't go wrong and I spent 3 hours looking for a windows problem. If you need a basic sound card, this will do.
