Great part of a whole house surge protection system
A few points to mention: They suggest installing this device on the side of the load center closest to the feeder, in fact this is more important than people realize, and will likely mean a reorganization of your current switches. I'm by no means an expert on surge suppression, but I've done quite a bit of research into different types of suppression and the science behind it. When I bought my house, I installed this cheap insurance for all electronics in the house, including those that run on 220-240 (hot tub, garage heater, air conditioner).
