Works well. Very small

They work fine. In a recent test, I achieved a range of 400m in my street (line of sight) with this small module, which transmits to a PA device using a whip antenna. This was at maximum performance and did not require an ACK. I get about 76 KB of actual payload throughput. They are quite small, so soldering wires to them is quite difficult. You can also buy male pins and sockets in 0.05 inch pitch. They're not that common, but they're available. I stripped a standard .05 inch pitch ribbon cable and soldered the wires directly to the holes on a module. In another I used jumper wires on a breadboard and connected every other pin to either a hole or half-hole lock so the wires zigzag down the unit. There are only 8 ports, so it's not that bad anyway. Just be careful and watch out for solder bridges. In general I am very happy with them. So far all seem to be good. I am using the NRH24 Arduino library. For some reason I couldn't get the RadioHead library to work with them. Recommended. I will buy more if I need a tiny module for short distance data transmission.
