I've been using NiteRider headlamps for a few years and their proprietary mounts work great. When I switched to outbound lighting, I had to switch to GoPro mounts. My helmet doesn't have the right space for a flat/sticky GoPro mount so I ordered a helmet strap mount. The strap mount used by the GoPro has the same design as the NiteRider. Pass the strap through the helmet vents, thread it back through the clip, tighten and lock. Very easy. However, when I strapped it to my helmet, I noticed that the clasp didn't hold the strap firmly in place, allowing me to either tighten or loosen it. At first I thought it might be a bad clip design, but when I thread the NiteRider strap through the clip it works GREAT! There is a noticeable difference in the thickness of the strap material between the two bindings. Right now I need to find a MacGyver solution to make this mount work. I would swap the straps but they are stitched and I have no way of re-stitching them. I will (hopefully) contact GoPro support for a solution and update this review accordingly. found that if I pull the strap from the top and pull it out from the bottom (rather than up through the bottom and out), the clips hold the strap fairly tight. For now this seems workable, although it's a little fiddly to tighten. I've included a photo to show you how I tied it tight. **Update: After I send photos and confirm the purchase, GoPro Support will send me a replacement mount. Hopefully thicker straps will be included and I don't have to use a workaround.
