My cat loves this food and the salmon with chicken flavor. As long as you don't squish the pouch, this product does slide out of the pouch. Occasionally there are little pieces that are left behind. When that happens, I add a little water to the pouch and mix it up to loosen the remaining food and then pour it into the bowl with the rest of the food. Then I use a fork to mash it up and mix everything into a relatively smooth consistency. My cat eats it up 1/2 at a time. He likes the first course to settle in while he cleans his face and then goes back to finish it up about 15-30 min later. He is one happy kitty boy. Problem is that after eating this for a while he is not as eager to eat his other healthy wet food.
