My dog hated the plastic cone he had to wear after being bit by another dog, but he doesn’t seem to mind this recovery collar at all. He can eat, drink, sleep, and go potty normally. It’s kind of like a little pillow for his neck. So cute. I even found him the other day taking an afternoon nap with my dad on the couch (see pics). So clearly, the collar is comfortable!For reference, he’s about 20 lbs and is wearing a size large. He’s not a big dog by any means, so I’m not sure how well the collar would work for a larger dog. The collar is soft and seems pretty durable. The internal neck piece is adjustable, but I just left it as loose as it could go. It doesn’t seem to restrain my dog’s movements at all.
