Lasted about a week, works great as a portable heater. Haven't tried the fan yet. We go to different rooms so as not to turn on the heating in our big house. We used it in the bedroom and after a while I had to turn it off because we were getting warm. I'm buying another one to hold one on top and one on bottom. 1 star deducted because when turning on/off or setting the temperature there is a very high pitched beep that completely panics our dog - like your smoke alarm going off. Luckily it's pretty quick, otherwise we'd have to go back. If there was a way to disable the beep I'd be perfectly happy.
