TomTom One rules! The best in GPS, finders and accessories

Just bought a TT1 from Revain (10/22/07, $200) and have tried most of the features and a few 'city trips' so far. First off, the TT1 I got from Revain was the "New Edition". I was concerned about what edition I would actually get because I couldn't find any information on the Revain website, so I was happy with this part. The only "problem" I had was syncing with TomTom HOME. When you connect a device via USB for the first time and HOME starts (or sometimes it doesn't) you will be asked if you want to download the latest version of HOME. If you have a TomTom ONE, don't do this. I did that and after that it didn't work with HOME. Download Version 1.xxx HOME (NOT 2.xxx) ONLINE! (The CD makes an excellent coffee table stand). TT tech support got me to roll my HOME version back to 1.xxx and then everything was fine. Bye. Functionally, the TT1 is great for casual car GPS navigators like me. I just want to get where I want to go with great verbal prompts, and it gets the job done in style - and there are plenty of great menu function options for you to customize to your liking. My favorite feature is the trip demo after you set your GoTo destination. You simply sit back and watch as your entire journey graphically unfolds before your eyes. (in my case from NC to VT). It's amazing. Lots of add-ons for TomTom Plus with Bluetooth, your mobile phone etc. I don't use any of them. I'm just talking about the basic "take me from here to there" functions. I like this GPS for the price, accuracy, ease of use and great tech support. code, activation code and software update error).
