I bought my son a Garmin StreetPilot for Christmas and it has really made his and my life a lot easier. But I found this block too big and didn't like the voice prompts for turns. Overall this is a fantastic GPS for the money. It is relatively small and can easily be carried in a pocket or purse. There is no external antenna that could be folded out to improve reception. I recommend avoiding the TomTom One. It gives incorrect or at best misleading instructions almost every time I've used it for the last 4 days. TomTom One is easy to use, intuitive and has a lot of nice features. But the all-important routing algorithm needs serious improvement.
