Right out of the box the unit was able to track satellites and set itself; I was 5 meters from the window. I won't go into all the specifics, but there were definitely a few things that I thought worked well for me. It worked right out of the box, better than the navigation box my wife had on her previous contract. Once I got stuck in traffic, hit a block 100 meters ahead and the device quickly found an alternative route, bypassing the roadblock. Estimated elapsed time and arrival time were excellent. The screen is the perfect size, just right, and if I want to I can put it in my pocket and walk around with it. I don't know why anyone needs more. Block the windshield and hide when I need to park. Why not get a perfect score? It would be if it weren't for the fact that this is the first portable device I've ever owned and there is no other device to compare it to. I paid about $235, a steal for the quality.
