Review on 12 Inch Air Horn Pump by Bob Fasho

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great buy at an uncomfortable price

Decent sound, good value, easy to use. The only drawback is the size. It is quite large and takes up a lot of space even when disassembled or fully compressed. it must withstand the plastic used in the construction. I wouldn't store it in the sun as the flimsy plastic is likely to crack or become brittle after a few weeks in direct sunlight. I bought it for a parade I was attending, unfortunately it didn't arrive on time and wanted to keep it in my backpack when not in use, ignoring my comment on the size. It's like a pump air horn in the sense that it's spring loaded and you push the plunger down and hold, then push down and then stop pushing to hear a stuttering "phrenn phrennnn phrennnn" sound. For the price be aware of the slow delivery, it's great for events and use where ambient or event noise isn't deafening. I wouldn't recommend this for music concerts or large sporting events where the crowd gets loud enough to shake the hall, but would recommend for parades, parties, outdoor events, non-professional sporting events, camping, fishing, boating, hiking, or ceremonies. that's perfect (assuming size isn't a factor for the property). A word to the sage/user: be careful: as with all air horns and noisemakers, even if they don't make noise, those closest to you will very quickly get annoyed with you and that obnoxious noisemaker, especially if you're smaller than themselves. And they get a full horn bang right on their food. Use at your own risk but hopefully at a festive event or an event where everything is festive and no one objects to the horn.* There is a feature that allows the horn to lock in a fully compressed position, thereby preventing will make it ring and hit less space. You just squeeze it and twist it to fix it.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable buy for the elderly
