This is my experience with my rat pups. A bit of history: I usually use Carefresh bedding for my puppies. I haven't had ARD with any of my boys since I live with my parents in a poorly ventilated room. Since I moved into an apartment with my boyfriend and they live in a great neighborhood, none of my six rats has sneezed. It's been a good year. When I wanted to order Carefresh this time, this bed linen from Revain was recommended to me. I've always had a lot of experience with Revain recommended products so I decided to give it a try. I received this item on Tuesday April 30th and it is now Friday May 3rd. Of my six rats, four have porphyrins around their noses and one is making horrible breathing noises. If you are a rat parent, please do not purchase this item. This may be fine for other rodents, but not for rats. I pick up Carefresh on the way home and immediately start treating my boys for URI, not to mention I don't have $40 (that's a lot for a college student). I've had seven years of rat experience under my belt and it hit my rats faster than any other situation I've put them in. I worked at a pet store and the rats in the glass crates took longer to get a URI than this one. Please do not buy this product. On the other hand, for those who want to try this product on other animals, it is very soft and absorbs smells well.
