Only 4 stars as the motor needs to be running (14+V DC charging) to get the most heat out. I use a winch on the quad and a separate off-grid battery to power the heaters (that's too much for a generator), doesn't heat up at 12.5 battery rest voltage - the backup battery is a CCA 650A Interstate Deep Cycle so no battery. Heating pads will do the job, keep in mind the comments above
