I've been using it for a few months now and it still charges great. With any accessory on my Cutlass 71, the voltage never drops below 13 volts. Can't beat the price. Update: SIX YEARS LATER still charging! The only problem I had was the bearings were starting to make noise so I decided to take them apart to replace them. This is a really well designed generator. The rotor is balanced and the chrome is holding up really really well and I don't babysit my car, rain, snow or sun, I drive it. Photo taken after cleaning only with Windex after 6 years of use! People struggling with this most likely have other problems with their electrical system. Make sure you have good grounding and wiring to the battery. Batteries absorb voltage spikes, and if you don't have good battery and cable padding, you can easily fry the voltage regulator. Feel free to buy!
