Works great, I used this to convert my 10 year old HD projector to HDMI, it only had DVI and RGB inputs. I was able to split the HDMI video to the projector with this unit and use the optical to go to my 7.1 receiver. Works great so far no problems. The only thing I noticed that isn't a problem is that when I turn off the projector before the AV receiver, there's a static "pop-clap" noise. So I turn off the receiver first, well I'll try. I'm trying to relearn after taking off my pajamas for 10 years.
